CARLISLE, Pa. (May 24, 2022) – Mother Nature made a mess of their schedule yet again, but despite the weather distraction on Saturday that forced a cancellation at Sharon Speedway, Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports made the most of their recent stretch through New Jersey and Ohio, eventually translating a pair of starts into a top-ten result by finishing ninth at Bridgeport Speedway in Bridgeport, New Jersey, on Tuesday, May 17.
In all, Bayston’s evening in The Garden State was productive from start to finish, kicking things off with the 13th-fastest time of 33 entries, driving on to finish third during heat race competition. The World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year contender started 12th on the A-Main grid before advancing to a top-ten slot.
Unfortunately, Bayston was unable to accomplish another top-ten result at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 20, as a cut tire forced the Lebanon, Indiana, native to the work area negating all positive momentum, as well as any top-five potential. The recent Bristol Motor Speedway winner would return to the speedway to finish 13th; Bayston started fifth.
“We had our ups and downs this weekend, but in all, I’m proud of this team. They never stop working and it’s that level of motivation and work ethic that allows us to perform,” Bayston said, driver of the Signing Day Sports, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, The Dunn Group, Highlands’ Power Sports, No. 5 sprint car. “I’m excited to get to Atomic and Lawrenceburg. It should be a fun weekend and I’m ready to work for another World of Outlaws victory.”

Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with visits to Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, and Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, on Saturday and Monday, May 28 and 30, respectively.
