When Scott Gobrecht and Kolten Gouse took over Susquehanna Speedway before the 2016 season, they had a checklist of things to accomplish.

Most of the list centered around upgrades at the speedway that continue to take place. The management team also wanted to put a solid weekly program in place and complete a schedule that makes sense.

It’s been one check on the list after the other. And this team continues to exceed expectations.

On the heels of a lucrative naming rights deal to kick-start the BAPS Motor Speedway brand, Gobrecht and Gouse have inked a deal with The Cushion to broadcast Sprint Car and other events and bring that brand to people around the country.

“We are excited to partner with The Cushion for 12 Pay-Per-View races in the 2018 season,” Gouse said. “The time is now to showcase our racing at the speedway.

“The Cushion is the best in the dirt-track Pay-Per-View industry, and they will help us be able to reach and broaden our audience. We are honored to be partnering with The Cushion to help us reach our goals.”

Ian Marvuglio and Brian Harmdierks own The Cushion, which started broadcasts in 2007, and have built the company into one of the leaders in auto racing’s Pay-Per-View game with good customer service, quality viewing, and hosting some of the biggest events in the sport.

The Cushion is going into its 11th season of broadcasting events from the famed Knoxville Raceway. They have been handling all weekly shows from the historic facility since 2010.

Marvuglio and Harmdierks are also known for their coverage of the Knoxville Nationals, the biggest dirt-track event in the country. They also have handed the broadcast for the prestigious Trophy Cup the last three years and the Short Track Nationals.

Now, for an affordable price that features a $2 discount to The Cushion and SprintCarUnlimited.com members, BAPS Motor Speedway will join this impressive list of broadcast events.

“I’m super excited that we have inked a multi-event deal with BAPS Motor Speedway,” Marvuglio said. “Since Scott and Kolten have taken over, they have been aggressive and progressive with changes to the track, and it’s this mindset and exuberance for the sport that we love to align ourselves with.

“We are proud to be a small part of the BAPS Motor Speedway program. This gives us an opportunity to let people all over the country experience what people in central Pennsylvania already know about the quality of the racing and facility at BAPS Motor Speedway.”
