CARLISLE, Pa. (October 24, 2022) – Carlisle, Pennsylvania-based CJB Motorsports and Lebanon, Indiana’s Spencer Bayston put on an impressive display in Pennsylvania Posse Country, not only ending Williams Grove Speedway’s prestigious National Open with a top-five score, but leading the Outlaw charge all together as the highest finishing full-time traveler.

Bayston, who remains eighth in the World of Outlaws championship standings padded by 16 top-five outcomes, finished fourth in the $75,000-to-win program, commencing his 40-lap campaign from the exact same position after kicking-off the program with a runner-up performance during his respective heat race. Although finishing where he started, Bayston did everything he could to climb higher in the running order, pressuring eventual runner-up Brent Marks for second on multiple occasions before settling into fourth.

The end result was Bayston’s best-ever at the Williams Grove half-mile.

“It feels good to put together a solid evening like that, especially amongst such stout competition like the Outlaws and Pennsylvania Posse. We’ve been working on figuring out our program for next year and I’m confident we’re getting closer and closer to where we need to be,” Spencer Bayston explained, ace of the TrueTimber Camo, Signing Day Sports, Bubbly Brands, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, No. 5 sprint car. “I’m happy for this entire CJB Motorsports/TrueTimber Camo team and I’m proud of their efforts. It’s hard to believe the end is here, but we’ll head into Charlotte with intentions to cap the year on a great note.”

ON DECK:
Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with the season-ending World Finals on November 2-5 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina. The Greatest Show on Dirt will be joined by the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model Series and Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds for one huge weekend to conclude the 2022 season.
