CARLISLE, Pa. (September 26, 2022) – It was an all dash and all top-ten weekend for Lebanon, Indiana’s Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports, capping their recent Buckeye State doubleheader with the Greatest Show On Dirt with back-to-back seventh-place scores. A productive weekend, nonetheless, Bayston acquired his top-ten outcomes during stops at Eldora Speedway and Sharon Speedway on Friday and Saturday, September 23-24, simultaneously bumping his season’s top-ten count to 34 overall.
Bayston, ace of the TrueTimber Camo, Signing Day Sports, Bubbly Brands, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, No. 5 sprint car, kicked-off the weekend from the pole, leading the BeFour the Crowns Showdown field to green on Friday night at Eldora Speedway. The former USAC National Midget Series champion went on to command the first six circuits before surrendering the top spot to eventual winner, Rico Abreu.
Bayston started sixth on Sharon’s grid Saturday night.
“Overall, a successful weekend for our team. To go out and earn two dash appearances and two top-tens is something to be proud of. We’re becoming more and more consistent and that’s really shown these last few weeks. Despite being pleased, we’re not ready to settle. We’re always striving to learn and find ways to improve,” Bayston expressed. “Our team is really looking forward to spending time in Pennsylvania these next few weeks. The National Open is a race that’s certainly at the top of our list, and I’ve always enjoyed racing at Port Royal Speedway. We’re ready to get started.”
