GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (August 1, 2022) – Joining the All Star Circuit of Champions in their final Midwest appearance of the season, Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing put together a consistent weekend against “America’s Series,” not only securing a pair of top-ten finishes, but highlighting the two-race campaign with a fifth-place outcome at the Sprint Car Capital of the World, Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, July 30.
Although far from a stranger at Knoxville Raceway, a 59-time winner to be exact which places Brown third on the track’s all-time win list, Brown was forced to duel against a competitive field of 55, kicking things off with the second-fastest time in his respective qualifying group. A heat race victory shortly thereafter would seal Brown’s appearance in the evening’s dash; he would finish sixth.
One night prior in the $26,000-to-win Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race at I-70 Motorsports Park in Odessa, Missouri, a mere-15 minute drive from his childhood home in Higginsville, Missouri, “Blackjack” finished seventh, kicking off the evening with the fourth-fastest qualifying effort, driving on to win his respective heat race. Brown started third on the evening’s A-Main grid.
“We put together a consistent weekend and I’m super proud of this Casey’s/FVP team. Everyone works so hard and we wouldn’t be able to accomplish what we do without their hard work and dedication,” Brown, driver of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Rowdy Energy, No. 21 sprint car, said. “To have the opportunity to race so close to home on Friday night at I-70 is pretty special, and we were thrilled to have our friends from Andy’s Frozen Custard there with us. We wanted to win that $26,000 Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race check for them, but to earn a top-ten is something we can all celebrate.”
