Brian Montieth was the class of the field last Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway, but a flat tire cost him a $20,000 payday in the Dirt Classic.
It was a difficult pill to swallow. The positive: Montieth showed speed that he has lacked at times this season and built some confidence.
The Phoenixville driver discussed the disappointment, as well as his season, on this week’s edition of the SprintCarUnlimited.com Podcast. Montieth also talked about chasing his first World of Outlaws win and this week’s prestigious National Open at historic Williams Grove Speedway.
Show hosts Jeremy Elliott and John Westbrook spent most of the show previewing the Open. Topics were storylines heading into the event, handicapping the favorites, who is hot and who is not, and predictions.
The SprintCarUnlimited.com Podcast will be back next Monday. Subscriptions to SprintCarUnlimited.com are $50 for a year, $35 for six months and $8 monthly. Members have access to the podcast and all content on the website.
