GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (April 18, 2022) – Despite their plan to kick-off the Knoxville Raceway season was ultimately derailed due to Mother Nature, “Blackjack” Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing managed to continue their 2022 campaign with another World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series start in the Show-Me State, this time joining the Greatest Show On Dirt at the highbanks of Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely on Saturday, April 16.
Not the end result the team was seeking, Brown, driver of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Rowdy Energy, Ditzfeld transfer, Champion Brands, MC Power, Weld Wheels, Housby, Maxim Chassis, J.D. Welding & Machine, Waldinger, Smiley’s Racing Products, No. 21 sprint car, surrendered early and was scored 22nd, earning his place in the $10,000-to-win program with a fifth-place run during heat race action. There were 37 cars on hand at the greater St. Louis staple.
“It’s always good to get back to Pevely. We didn’t have the results we wanted, but we’ll put the night behind us and begin preparations for the coming weekend,” Brian Brown said, a former podium placewinner at I-55 with the World of Outlaws. “Can’t say enough about my team. The guys work their tails off and I’m proud of their efforts. We’ll do whatever we can to get this Casey’s/FVP No. 21 up front this weekend at Granite City and Knoxville.”

Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with a Midwest doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, April 22-23. “Blackjack” will activate the weekend with World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series action at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois, on Friday, April 22, followed by Knoxville Raceway’s 69th Season Opener on Saturday, April 23. Brown is a five-time Knoxville Raceway track champion, earning titles during 360ci, as well as 410ci competition.
