BUSTI, N.Y. (July 24, 2026) – A year ago this week, Tyler Courtney laid in a hospital bed in Ohio with serious injuries sustained at Eldora Speedway’s Joker’s Jackpot. This week, one year later, he’s now a five-time winner in 2026 and re-writing the record books with dominant High Limit Racing wins.

Clearly a favorite from the beginning, Courtney’s Friday night at Stateline Speedway began with a new track record (13.973) in Capitol Renegade Qualifying and an “Ace in the Hole” 4th-to-1st Heat Race win. Starting from the outside pole of the A-Main, he watched Aaron Reutzel lead the opening lap before deciding it was game over.

He drove the Clauson-Marshall Racing, NOS Energy Drink #7BC to the point on Lap 2 and never even thought about looking back. In a non-stop 30-lapper, the Indianapolis, Indiana native wired lap traffic with ease and cruised away to a 6.598-second margin of victory – the largest in series history.

Ironically enough, the previous record of 6.166-seconds was Courtney’s own, which came in Clauson-Marshall’s last High Limit win – which was 52 tries ago at Lucas Oil Speedway in June 2025. They’re now the 10th team to reach Whiskey Myers Victory Lane this season.

While Friday’s score at Stateline marked Courtney’s first Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing win of the season (8th of his career), it was his fifth overall score. He’s already earned triumphs with the ASCS National Tour, the World of Outlaws, and at Knoxville Raceway.

Trailing Courtney to the line was Aaron Reutzel with his 13th podium effort this season, capping his New York trip with a runner-up following Ransomville’s win. More importantly, Ridge & Sons Racing cuts Tony Stewart Racing’s championship advantage down to 32-points.

Justin Peck and Rudeen Racing earned their third-place finish to go with three runner-up results this year with Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing. As the second half of the season begins, they continue to chase their first series win of the year.

A pair of California natives completed the top-five with Fresno’s Giovanni Scelzi scoring fourth in the Spire Motorsports, Chili’s Grill & Bar #77 while St. Helena’s Rico Abreu ran fifth in the Tony Stewart Racing, Carquest Auto Parts #24.

Rounding out the top-10 at Stateline was Sye Lynch in the #42, Chase Randall in the #9R, Brent Marks in the #19, Brock Zearfoss in the #17GP, and Daison Pursley in the #9.
