GETTYSBURG, Pa. (April 18, 2022) – “Double-D” Danny Dietrich has been almost unstoppable at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway in recent weeks, cashing in for another victory, his third in four tries, on Saturday evening, April 16. Impressive enough, Dietrich, driver of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, was forced to start deep yet again, this time rallying from eighth on the grid to secure his spot in victory lane.

As a recent trend has it, Dietrich wasted little time climbing to the top, ultimately making his way to the point from row four in ten laps. In fact, the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native was challenging for second with less than five circuits complete, eventually getting by Devon Borden with a turn four diamond move on lap nine. Just one lap later, Dietrich was all over Austin Bishop for the top spot, once again utilizing a diamond move in four to get by. The non-stop 30-lapper was completed in less than eight minutes, setting a new 30-lap track record in the process.

Just one night prior, Dietrich earned a top-five at Williams Grove Speedway, dancing his way forward from 11th to finish fifth. The momentum boost from his successful weekend will prove beneficial, as Dietrich plans to enter five consecutive events during the coming week including a visit to New Jersey on Wednesday, April 20.

“I can’t say enough about this team right now. We’ve been having a ton of fun and I owe it all to everyone involved. All we can do is keep doing what we’ve been doing and the success will continue,” Dietrich explained, who will join the All Star Circuit of Champions on three occasions during the coming week. “Our eyes are on the All Stars this weekend. They have a great group following the Series full-time, but I think we have what it takes to keep the money here at home.”

ON DECK:
Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with an action-packed week in the Keystone State and the Garden State beginning with a pair of midweek shows on Wednesday, April 20, and Thursday, April 21, visiting Bridgeport Speedway in Swedesboro, New Jersey, and Bloomsburg Fair Raceway in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, respectively. Dietrich’s schedule will then continue with starts at Williams Grove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, and Selinsgrove Speedway in consecutive fashion on Friday through Sunday, April 22-24. The events at Bloomsburg, Williams Grove, and Port Royal will feature the All Star Circuit of Champions highlighted with Port’s Keith Kauffman Classic awarding $10,000.
