When T.J. Stutts looks back at the 2018 Sprint Car season, he will classify it as a disappointment and a blessing.
Stutts had plenty of bad luck. The worst moment came when he suffered fractures in his back in a crash at Port Royal Speedway. It sidelines the Liverpool, Pa., driver, and took him out of the Williams Grove Speedway point chase.
But, that mattered very little. During the recuperating process and all of the scans that go with it, doctors determined that Stutts had a tumor on his pancreas and were able to treat the illness.
Stutts joined this week’s edition of the SprintCarUnlimited.com Podcast presented by Wicked Energy Gum and Wicked Cushion to discuss the illness, his surgery, and the recuperating process. He also touched on his racing endeavors moving forward.
Show hosts Jeremy Elliott and Ryan Hand also announced that Wicked Energy Gum and Wicked Cushion have come aboard to sponsor the 2019 season. Other show topics were 2018 awards and the Chili Bowl.
The podcast will return next week. Subscriptions to SprintCarUnlimited.com are $50 for a year, $35 for six months and $8 monthly. Members have access to the podcast and all content on the website.
