A rash of problems plagued the frontrunners, putting James Edens up front and in position to claim the victory in the Wicked Cushion eSports 410 main event at Lanier.
Brandon Steele jumped out front, with Chance Ciskowski lurking in second. The complexion of the race changed on Lap 12, when Steele caught the inside wall and ended his race.
That started a series of problems for drivers Craig Dunn and Kyle Stoltz, who were in contention for the win. Ciskowski continued to lead, but he also had problems on the 29th circuit, which handed the lead to Edens.
Once out front, Edens never looked back. He shook off the challenges of his teammate Kendal Tucker for his second straight win with the series. The win allowed Edens to stretch his point lead to 28 points over Jeremy Zarfos.
Tucker settled for second, with Weston Newell, Aaron Shaffer, and Richie Preston completing the top five. Dunn set fast time for the 18-car field with a lap of 11.584. Dunn and Steele were heat winners.
