VINCENTOWN, N.J. (September 6, 2022) – If you’re going to get hot, this is the time of year to do it, and that’s the exact mindframe JW Motorsports’ Justin Whittall has, ready to enter one of the nation’s premier events on the wings of back-to-back top-six finishes including a podium run during recent visits to Port Royal Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, September 3-4.
Whittall, driver of the JW Motorsports, JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, No. 67 sprint car, finished third and six in his top-six appearances, trumping what had been a rocky August schedule. Adding to the weekend luster, Whittall’s podium outcome took place in Port Royal Speedway’s annual Fair opener, battling up front with “Blackjack” Brian Brown and Gettysburg’s Danny Dietrich.
The Vincentown, New Jersey, native will return to the “Speed Palace” on Thursday through Saturday with intentions to battle for a $55,000 payday in the annual Tuscarora 50.
“That felt great…we needed that,” Justin Whittall explained, a former winner at Williams Grove Speedway. “Hats off to the entire team. Everyone busts their butts, and sometimes our results don’t show that, but everyone works so hard and I’m proud. We have a big weekend ahead and I think we’re all excited to get started. Our goal is to keep this momentum going through the Tuscarora 50.”
ON DECK:
Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports will continue their 2022 campaign with the three-day Tuscarora blockbuster at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. Chasing a total weekend winner’s share equaling $73,000, the “Speed Palace” tripleheader will ignite with an $8,000 preliminary on Thursday, September 8, followed by the $10,000-to-win Night Before the Tuscarora 50 on Friday, September 9. Tuscarora weekend will conclude with the 55th running of the 50-lap Tuscarora 50, awarding $55,000, on Saturday, September 10.
