PORT ROYAL, Pa: Justin Whittall led the sprint car feature at Port Royal Speedway when rain hit the track eventually postponing the remaining laps to be completed at a later date.

The early laps of the 25-lap main event were marred by two hard crashes. Whittall started on the pole and grabbed the lead. Brent Marks passed Tyler Reeser for second. Reeser spun in turn four collecting Blane Heimbach and Anthony Marci. All drivers were OK.

Whittall led the field down for the lap-three restart. Logan Wagner passed Jeff Halligan for third and went after Marks for second. They traded the spot before Wagner claimed it with five completed.

A hard first turn crash involving Mike Walter II and AJ Flick brought the field to a stop again with 18 to go. They were OK.

Wagner went after the lead on the restart, but Whittall was too fast off the top. Marks tried to take second back as rain began to fall bringing out the yellow. The cars were sent to the pit area, and eventually, heavy rain ended the night.

A surprisingly large field of 34 sprint cars were on hand. After the World of Outlaws program was canceled at Sharon Speedway, former Port Royal Champion Brock Zearfoss trekked across  the state to Port Royal. He arrived late and had to start last in the fourth heat race. He qualified and was inside the top 10 when the feature was stopped.

Heimbach, Whittall, Marks and Macri won the heat races. Kassidy Kreitz won the B-main. Jared Miley won the 40-lap main event for the World of Outlaw Late Models. He earned $10,000 for his first career series win and Port Royal win.
