PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting the call to run the C&M Motorsports entry over the weekend, Ryan Robinson put together two strong performance s against two stout fields of cars as he charged to a ninth-place finish on Saturday night with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour, and backed it up with a seventh place performance on Monday night at Placerville Speedway.

“I had a great time working with Cody and Mandi over the weekend,” Ryan Robinson said. “We meshed really well together and got the car better over the weekend.”

Kicking the weekend off Saturday night in Stockton, CA with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour, Ryan Robinson timed the Legacy Specialties Inc./Lund Construction/Anrak backed No. 7c in sixth fastest in his qualifying group.

On a hooked-up Stockton Dirt Track, Robinson took the green flag from the sixth starting position in his heat race and picked up one important position, The importance was that it was the fifth and final transfer into the feature event and it put Robinson in the 10th row for the 30-lap affair.

Closely watching the Stockton Dirt Track surface as the night moved along, Robinson headed out for the feature event and took the green flag from the 19th starting position.

A wild couple of attempted starts finally resulted in a single file start go bring the racing action to life, which was not to Robinson’s advantage from his starting position.

On a super-fast racing surface, Robinson had a car that was good enough to work both high and low as he navigated from the rear of the field. With his elbows up, Robinson worked his way into the Top-10 by the halfway point.

Getting as high as eighth, a bobble on the last night moved Robinson back to the ninth position where he ultimately finished.

Monday night’s 4th of July Spectacular in Placerville, CA saw Robinson again climb behind the wheel of the potent C&M Motorsports entry.

Going out first in qualifying time trials of the 28 cars that checked into the pit area, Robinson would set an early standard before ultimately winding up sixth on the speed chart.

Racing to a third-place finish in heat race action, Robinson’s qualifying effort locked him into the redraw as the seven-pill placed him in the fourth row of the 25-lap feature event.

Jumping into sixth on the race’s initial start, Robinson got out of shape in turn two on lap two and slipped back to 15th.

In a race that had its share of stoppages, Robinson took full advantage of double file restarts as he clawed his way back into the Top-10.

Racing back into seventh, the Foresthill, CA native was in a tight battle for a top-five finish coming to the checkered, but officially capped the night off in seventh.

“Saturday night we were in a big hole early and did our best to dig out,” Robinson said. “And on Monday, we were a victim of circumstance in the feature, but we had another really good car that allowed us to move forward. It was a fun weekend, and I really thank Cody and Mandi for the opportunity.”

The C&M Motorsports team would like to thank Legacy Specialties Inc., Lund Construction, Anrak, Sam Rhodes, Alturas Tires, Swartz Diesel, PT Shocks, Creason Enterprises, and all of their product sponsors for their continued support.
