Tyler Schell, of Elbows Up Sim Sports, led all but one lap in the 30-lap feature and captured the DSRL Wicked Energy Gum 410 Outlaw Series event at Williams Grove Speedway.
It was Schell’s second straight win in the league, making him perfect on the season. He is 44 points ahead of Michael Sheridan.
Kraig Kinser Sim Racing’s Braden Eyler started on the pole and hit the outside fence in Turn 1 on the first circuit. He collected Schyler Brown in the incident, and neither driver could continue.
Fellow Kraig Kinser Sim Racing driver Alex Smolders took the lead when the race went green. He relinquished it to Schell on Lap 2.
Once out front, it was all Schell. He distanced himself and went on to take the win over Kevin Click, of UDSRA, who advanced from fourth to second on Lap 24.
Kasey Kahne Sim Team standout David Heilman didn’t qualify in his heat race but stormed to the win in the B-Main. He carved his way from 17th to third in the A-Main event. Smolders was fourth, followed by Sheridan.
The main event featured three caution periods, with the final 16 laps being run under green flag conditions. Twenty of the 24 starters were running at the end of the race, with 19 drivers finishing on the lead lap.
The DSRL Series takes a week off before heading to The Dirt Track at Charlotte for an event on February 20th.
