PETERSEN MEDIA- Following Monday’s 4th of July event in Chico, CA, veteran driver, Sean Becker and Washington based Cook Motorsports have parted ways.

“First and foremost, I want to thank Blake Cook and his team for the sacrifices they made to take me racing in 2022,” Sean Becker said. “Being from Washington and running as much as we ran in California is not easy and I am grateful for the opportunity. I am currently looking at some different avenues to fulfill a schedule for the 2022 season.”

With the separation of Cook and Becker, Cook Motorsports will get right back to action this weekend as they are slated to take part in Skagit Speedway’s mid-season points championship night on Saturday with Chase Majdic behind the wheel.

“Our entire team thanks Sean Becker for his efforts this Spring and Summer,’ Blake Cook said. “Though we were unable to get a win together, we did pick up a couple podium finishes together against some really tough fields. We wish Sean and his family nothing but the best moving forward.”

Cook Motorsports would like to thank Absolute Plumbing, Cook’s Contracting, CSR Builders, Shark Racing Engines, Cottage Grove Inn, Primetime Designs, Highline Performance, Les Schwab, and Cascade Pizza for their support.

BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-11, Wins- 0, Top 5’s- 2, Top 10’s-4

ON TAP: Cook Motorsports will be in action on Saturday night at Skagit Speedway.
