LEBANON, Pa.: When SprintCarUnlimited.com teamed up with DirtTrackDigest.TV to form a broadcast platform, there were multiple goals in mind.

SprintCarUnlimited.TV accomplished the first by putting together a solid product and acquiring 29 races at three speedways for the 2021 season. The next step was to find a way to give back to speedways and teams.

That objective was finalized this week in a partnership between SprintCarUnlimited.TV, local businesses, and host speedways.

On Friday, Jeremy Elliott announced the SprintCarUnlimited.TV Pay-Per-View Point Series presented by Capitol Renegade Custom Trailers and Coaches. A point fund is in place that will pay the top 10 finishers in points from the scheduled 410 Sprint Car Pay-Per-View shows at BAPS Motor Speedway, Selinsgrove Speedway, and Trail-Way Speedway.

“When I came up with the concept of SprintCarUnlimited.com four years ago, my goal was to eventually get into the streaming game,” Elliott said. “The next thing was to become successful enough that I could somehow give back to drivers and teams.

“Thanks to my subscribers, Mike Mallett at DirtTrackDigest, the tracks, and sponsors, we’ve been able to achieve that long-term goal. This sport is expensive, and it feels good to give back in a small way.”

Teams will be awarded points during 410 Sprint Car main events at BAPS Motor Speedway, Selinsgrove Speedway, and Trail-Way Speedway. Fourteen races are currently scheduled, but there is a possibility of 17 based on SprintCarUnlimited.TV acquiring three more PPV dates.

The winner of the series will be crowned after the Nov. 13 Capitol Renegade Showdown at BAPS Motor Speedway. The top point getter will receive a minimum of $3,000 from the $12,200-point fund. The 10th-place finisher in points will get a minimum of $500. There will be no deductions for rainouts.

Capitol Renegade is the title sponsor of the series. Associate sponsors are C&D Rigging,Inc., Newlin Bar Service, Selinsgrove Ford, and AL Driveline. A portion of PPV proceeds will also be put into the point fund.

“We have a pretty good point fund for our first year,” Elliott said. “I’m going to continue to push forward to make this bigger and better this year and in the future.

“I can’t thank the sponsors enough. These companies do a lot for racing, whether its sponsoring cars or events, and without them, I wouldn’t be able to do this.”

BAPS Motor Speedway has six dates on the series slate, including the Kevin Gobrecht Classic (May 2), Greg Hodnett Foundation Race Dirt Classic Qualifier (Sept. 16), and Capitol Renegade Showdown (Nov. 13).

Selinsgrove Speedway is also well represented. The series opener takes place this weekend (Mar. 28), with the Ray Tilley Classic (Apr. 25), Pennsylvania Speedweek (July 4), 75th Anniversary Race (July 20), 41st annual Jack Gunn Memorial (Aug. 28), and Jim Nace Memorial 39th annual National Open (Sept. 25) paying $20,000 highlighting the Snyder County schedule.

Trail-Way Speedway also gets in the mix on Aug. 22 with the Armin Hostetter Memorial. This is a race that is growing and also adds variety to the schedule.

“This is an opportunity to also highlight the tracks who took a chance on SprintCarUnlimited.TV,” Elliott said. “A big thanks goes out to the management teams at BAPS, Selinsgrove, and Trail-Way.

“Hopefully, this is the first step in many to come. We want to build a long-standing relationship with our tracks and help them be more successful while supporting the drivers and teams who race at the speedways.”
