BAPS Motor Speedway and SprintCarUnlimited.com continue to up the ante in what has become an interesting offseason.
Speedway owner Scott Gobrecht and general manager Kolten Gouse have made more improvements at the track and brought in corporate sponsors, including BAPS Finishing and Paint, who purchased the naming rights of the York Haven facility.
And now, SprintCarUnlimited.com is joining the mix.
In December, SprintCarUnlimited.com announced it would sponsor races at Port Royal and Williams Grove Speedway. The website added to its portfolio Friday by sponsoring the seven-race Sprint Car series at BAPS Motor Speedway in 2018.
“I’m excited to be able to sponsor the SprintCarUnlimited.com Sprint Series at BAPS Motor Speedway,” said Jeremy Elliott, owner and operator of the website. “Scott and Kolten have done a good job changing the look and feel of the speedway, and it’s an honor to be partnered with them.
“The website has come a long way in its first year, and this is a good opportunity to give back to the sport and the teams who compete at the speedway. SprintCarUnlimited.com is looking for bigger and better things in its second year, and this association with BAPS Motor Speedway is a big part of that.”
The series starts on April 8 with a two-division show of 410 and 358 Sprints. The Kevin Gobrecht Classic highlights the May 6 date, with a pair of 410 and Super Sportsman programs taking place June 7 and July 15.
Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will make an appearance at the speedway August 26. The PASS/IMCA Sprints will also be on the card. A 410 and 358 Sprint program takes place Sept. 20, with the Sprint Showdown bumps up two weeks to Saturday, Oct. 13.
“We are proud to be partnered with SprintCarUnlimited.com for the upcoming season,” Gouse said. “The website is one of the leaders in providing in-depth Sprint Car coverage across the country.
“Jeremy’s website has a new and different approach to bringing the sport to the fans, and that fits in well with our business model.”
SprintCarUnlimited.com is a subscription-based website devoted to the coverage of Sprint Car racing nationwide. It consists of results, breaking news, features, columns, enterprise stories, video, and much more.
In its first year of existence, the website produced 480 posts and gave away free tickets monthly to its members. Readers can expect more of the same in 2018, as well as some additions to increase Sprint Car racing coverage.
