SprintCarUnlimited.com continues its Top Car Owners since 1985 Bracket Tournament with the Round of 16.
Thank you to all of the fans who voted in our first round. There were a couple of upsets, and now it’s time for you to determine who moves to the next round.
Below are the match-ups for the Round of 16, with voting continuing until 8 p.m. Saturday. The winners will move on to the Round of 8.
Karl Kinser: 379 World of Outlaws wins between two drivers in our time frame. Nine Knoxville Nationals titles, three Kings Royal crowns, five National Open wins, six Gold Cups, six Silver Cup victories, and Historical Big One win. Eleven World of Outlaws titles and a United Sprint Association championship.
Bob Stewart: Over 240 wins in his 20-year career. Three Selinsgrove National Open wins, two Tuscarora 50 victories, six PA Speedweek titles. He also had World of Outlaws wins in Mississippi, North Carolina, and at Ohio's Eldora Speedway.
Dennis Roth: More than 60 World of Outlaws wins and many more across the country. Won the 1998 Knoxville Nationals with Danny Lasoski, the 2014 Williams Grove National Open with David Gravel, and the Front Row Challenge with Daryn Pittman in 2019. He has three King of the West titles.
Casey Luna: Luna earned 56 World of Outlaws wins and a pair of championships. The first came in 1989 with Bobby Davis Jr. The second was with Dave Blaney in 1995. Luna has three Kings Royal titles and was responsible for bringing the Ford motor to Sprint Car racing.
Kasey Kahne Racing: The team started in 2005 and went World of Outlaws racing in 2006. Since then, KKR has over 180 World of Outlaws wins and 200 victories overall. Included in those victories are two Kings Royal crowns, a Knoxville Nationals title, as well as a Gold Cup, Silver Cup, and Ironman 55 title. The team also has two World of Outlaws championships, one with Daryn Pittman and the other a year ago with Brad Sweet.
Tod Quiring: Quiring has over 150 total victories, with 50 coming against the World of Outlaws. Sammy Swindell and Craig Dollansky gave Quiring signature wins in big events. He owns a Kings Royal crown, a Williams Grove National Open triumph, and three Ironman 55 wins. He also captured the 360 Nationals title.
Don Kreitz Jr.: He has over 225 wins, including a Kings Royal victory in 1986. Also in that total are a pair of National Open wins. Kreitz also has five Tuscarora 50 victories, a Selinsgrove National Open win, and a Dirt Classic score. Kreitz and his current driver, Lance Dewease, have also beat the World of Outlaws 17 times.
Bob Weikert: From 1985 through 1987, Weikert had 125 wins with Doug Wolfgang behind the wheel. He won the Kings Royal, Knoxville Nationals, Sharon Nationals, Jackson Nationals, three Tuscarora 50 wins, and two National Open victories in our time frame. He had 160 wins total for this list and added another National Open win with Kenny Jacobs.
Tony Stewart Racing: TSR has recorded 255 World of Outlaws wins since the 2001 season. The organization has 11 Knoxville Nationals wins, five Kings Royal crowns, four Silver Cups, one National Open and one Gold Cup win. Tony Stewart has nine World of Outlaws titles.
Joe Harz: There are 146 wins on the résumè, including wins in the Tuscarora 50 and Williams Grove National Open. Harz also went on the road and landed a Knoxville Nationals prelim win. The team also four PA Speedweek titles and five track championships at Lincoln Speedway, three more at Williams Grove, and one at Port Roya.
Sammy Swindell: When Swindell owned his cars through an impressive stretch in the 1990s, he racked up over 100 wins. Swindell won a pair of Kings Royal titles, a Williams Grove National Open, and a Silver Cup. Swindell was also the 1997 World of Outlaws champion.
Danny Schatz: With Donny Schatz behind the wheel, the team scored 70 World of Outlaws wins and a pair of series titles. The Schatz tandem won two Knoxville Nationals, four National Opens at Williams Grove, a Kings Royal, two Silver Cups, and a Gold Cup title.
Steve Kinser: When Kinser owned his car, he registered 167 World of Outlaws wins from 1995 through 2009. He had two Knoxville Nationals wins, three Kings Royal crowns, three Gold Cups, and a National Open victory. Kinser also had six World of Outlaws titles and owned the car his son, Kraig Kinser drove to a Knoxville Nationals title.
Bobby Allen: Between 1985 and 1990, Allen had 15 World of Outlaws wins, including the Knoxville Nationals. Allen added a few more wins before getting out of the seat. He was back on the Outlaw tour with Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen in 2014, and since then, he has 16 more wins as an owner.
John and Pee Wee Zemaitis: The Zemaitis' have over 170 wins, including a huge victory in the Syracuse Supernationals with Billy Pauch. The team also had big wins in the Tuscarora 50, Selinsgrove National Open, and Williams Grove National Open. Along with big wins, the Zemaitis' also won three Port Royal track championships and a PA Speedweek title.
Al Hamilton: Hamilton cracked 300 wins, including a pair of National Open wins at Williams Grove, four Tuscarora 50 victories, five Selinsgrove National Open triumphs, and more than 30 World of Outlaws wins. He also finished second in the World of Outlaws point standings with Stevie Smith.
