1. Brenham Crouch made his first career 410 Sprint Car start last week at Lincoln Speedway. The 16-year-old driver from Lubbock, TX, failed to make the A-Main, but he gained valuable experience.

2. It was a totally different outcome for Crouch’s teammate, Buddy Kofoid, at Lincoln Speedway. The California native won his first career central Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Car race in only his 11th start in the region. It was his sixth start at Lincoln.

3. Buddy Kofoid became the ninth different winner in central Pennsylvania to start the 2022 season. There have been 12 events held so far.

4. Three different drivers added their names to the list of lap leaders in central Pennsylvania this season. Alan Krimes and Buddy Kofoid led laps at Lincoln, with Mike Walter II pacing the field for nine circuits at Port Royal.

5. There have been 20 different lap leaders in central Pennsylvania this season. Danny Dietrich leads the way with 50 circuits. Chase Dietz (37), Logan Wagner (30), and Brent Marks (26) follow.

6. Danny Dietrich has run 10 main events in Central Pa. this season and has eight top-five finishes, which is tops in the region. His average finish over the stretch is 5.0.

7. Justin Peck has made the most of his early-season time in central Pennsylvania. He is tied with Anthony Macri for second in top-five finishes with five. Brent Marks is fourth on the list with four.

8. A total of 28 different drivers have finished in the top five in Central Pa. this season. Mike Walter II and Parker Price-Miller added their names to the list last week.

9. California driver Dominic Scelzi is scheduled to compete in central Pennsylvania this weekend. He will drive the Jerry Parrish-owned No. 21.

10. It was another rough weekend for Attica Raceway Park. For the fifth week in a row, weather forced the cancellation of the 2022 season opener. This one hurt, as the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions were in town for a two-day show.

11. The All Star Circuit of Champions made the decision to come back to Attica Raceway Park this week to make up the two-day show. They will try and kick off the season point standings Friday and Saturday night at the Ohio oval.

12. As for the weather in Central Pa., it hasn’t been much better. Williams Grove Speedway lost its third show of the season last Friday night. Port Royal Speedway has lost two shows, Lincoln has lost one, and Selinsgrove and BAPS Motor Speedway each got one 410 show clipped.

13. Jacob Allen secured his second career World of Outlaws victory last week at Lake Ozark Speedway. The win, which was worth $15,000, broke a 104-race losing streak in series competition.

14. It’s been a pretty good stretch for Jacob Allen so far in 2022. He has made nine Fast Past Dashes this season, which is tied with David Gravel and Brad Sweet for most in World of Outlaws events.

15. Logan Schuchart matched his best finish of the season at Lake Ozark Speedway, when he placed fourth in the final rundown.

16. There have been 17 different lap leaders in 13 World of Outlaws events this season. Jacob Allen joined the list last week.

17. David Gravel has led the most laps this season in World of Outlaws competition with 71. Brad Sweet (58), Gio Scelzi (55), Carson Macedo (30), and Brent Marks (27) complete the top five.

18. Spencer Bayston continued his consistency in World of Outlaws races. The CJB Motorsports has finished in the top 10 in six of his last seven starts with the series. His runner-up finish last week was his third top-five finish during the stretch.

19. It was a decent night for Brock Zearfoss at Lake Ozark Speedway. He matched his season-best finish of sixth in the main event. It was his third top-10 finish of the season.

20. In California last week, the Anthony Simone Classic at Keller Auto Speedway, which featured the NARC King of the West Series, was canceled due to high winds.

21. Justin Sanders made the most of his weekend in the Golden State. He captured his first ever main event win at Thunderbowl Raceway before getting the win Saturday night at Placerville Speedway.

22. The two-win weekend by Justin Sanders gave him four tallies on the season in 10 starts. Sanders has won at three different racetracks this season in three different cars. That’s impressive.

23. Justin Sanders’ brother Rickey has also looked good in 2022. Rickey Sanders has two top-five finishes in his first five starts in a 360 Sprint Car at Ocean Speedway.

24. Back in central Pennsylvania, Doug Dodson has looked pretty good in Pennsylvania Sprint Series events. The 305 driver won at Port Royal Speedway last week and has two victories in the first three races this season.

25. The Xtreme Sprint Series was back in action last week at Lake Ozark Speedway. C.J. Leary earned his second win with the series in three starts.

26. Brady Bacon had every reason to be happy and disappointed last week at Lake Ozark Speedway. He was leading the Xtreme Sprint Series main event when he spun with less than 10 laps to go. In the World of Outlaws A-Main, he was running second when he had a flat tire. The speed was there, but the results weren’t.

27. It was an interesting night for Robert Ballou last week at Lake Ozark Speedway. He was put the rear of the B-Main after he was disqualified from the heat race for not going to the scales. He won the B-Main and stormed from 17th to second in the main event. At one point, he had the lead.

28. Logan Wagner is back in form at Port Royal Speedway. On Saturday, he earned his second straight victory at the speedway. It was also the second week in a row that Anthony Macri has finished second.

29. A year ago, Jason Shultz locked up the United Racing Club title. He kicked off the season Saturday at Port Royal Speedway by outrunning 410 Sprint Car regulars Ryan Smith and Anthony Macri to for the victory.

30. There was a new winner in Victory Lane at California’s Marysville Raceway last week. Camden Robustelli won the 360 Sprint Car main event. He is a former Dwarf-Car driver at the speedway.

31. The 410 Sprint Cars will invade New Jersey’s Bridgeport Speedway on Tuesday, April 19. The winner of the main event will receive a hefty $7,500.

32. A host of Pennsylvania stars will be in attendance at Bridgeport Speedway next week. Danny Dietrich, Anthony Macri, Brent Marks, and Freddie Rahmer will be joined by All Star Circuit of Champions regular Justin Peck and others.

33. One of the best comics of my generation, Gilbert Gottfried, died Tuesday after dealing with a long illness. He was 67. Gottfried created some of the best radio in history when he appeared on the Howard Stern Show 122 times.

34. The USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Series is back in action this Saturday night at Atomic Speedway. It’s been 12 years since the series visited the speedway.

35. Wayne Johnson announced recently that he will be chasing the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour title in 2022. He was the 2000 series champion and leads the points this season after four events.

36. The father-son duo of Tim and Landon Crawley will also run full time with the ASCS National Tour this season.

37. C.J. Leary and Robert Ballou are the only two drivers who have finished in the top five of all three Xtreme Series events held this season. It’s no surprise that Leary, who has won twice, leads Ballou by 36 markers in the standings.

38. When you win twice, you likely lead the most laps. Leary has paced the field for 40 circuits in three Xtreme Series events. Thomas Meseraull is second with 30.

39. A total of 19 drivers have won heat races in World of Outlaws action this season. David Gravel, Brad Sweet, James McFadden, and Jacob Allen have each won five. Gio Scelzi is next in line with four.

40. According to World of Outlaws stats guru Brian Walker, Brad Sweet and Sheldon Haudenschild have won eight of the last 10 World of Outlaws events at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.

41. Buddy Kofoid will shelf his Midget and Sprint Car activities this weekend and compete in the NASCAR Truck Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway. He will run a Kyle Busch Motorsports entry on the dirt.

42. The numbers have looked pretty good for 410 Sprint Car racing in central Pennsylvania. There were 70 drivers competing at Lincoln and Port Royal last Saturday night.

43. Reserved for Richard Petty and Jerry Reigle.

44. As for the World of Outlaws, the car-count optics also look pretty good. A total of 79 different drivers have competed in a series event this season. That will grow as the circuit speeds through the Midwest and goes to Pennsylvania in May.

45. We mentioned the numbers at Lincoln and Port Royal Speedway last weekend. It’s been a good early season for Lincoln, as the track is averaging 36.83 cars per night over six events.

46. Port Royal Speedway isn’t doing bad with its weekly average. The Juniata County oval has an average of 31 cars a night in the 410 Sprint Car pit area.

47. It should be noted that the World of Outlaws are averaging 30.9 cars per event this season. That should also grow as the series heads east.

48. There have been three lap leaders in Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions competition so far this season. Cory Eliason is tops with 30. Tyler Courtney (16) and Kerry Madsen (14) have also led laps heading into this weekend’s events at Attica Raceway Park.

49. BAPS Motor Speedway was forced to cancel Sunday’s program. The next 410 Sprint Car program on the schedule is the Kevin Gobrecht Classic on May 1. The 358 Modifieds are also on the program.

50. I can’t wait until April 28. That’s the start of the 2022 NFL Draft. It’s also the start of a disappointing season for the Dallas Cowboys.
