TUESDAY

James Tiernan ended the Swindell SpeedLab stranglehold on the DOB 360 Sprint Car league after 10 races last Tuesday at Eldora Speedway.

David Heileman grabbed the early lead and appeared to be on his way to another victory, but he got out of shape in Turns 1 and 2, which allowed Tiernan to make the winning pass.

It didn’t come easy, however, as a late-race restart gave Heileman another crack at victory. Tiernan was up to the challenge and crossed the line first in the 35-lap event to score his first win of the season.

Heileman settled for second, with Brett Wheeler, Weston Newell, and Adam Elby completing the top five. Michael Sheridan set quick time for the 30-car field with a lap of 13.958. Heileman, Tiernan, and James Edens were heat winners.

Elby continues to lead the points with 817. Mike Keegan is 112 points back in second, with Kyle Stoltz sitting 118 points in arrears.

WEDNESDAY

Cameron Merriman continued to own the DOB 305 A Series last week by capturing his fifth straight main event at Williams Grove Speedway.

It didn’t matter that Merriman started ninth on the grid. He carved his way through the field and took the lead on Lap 13. He cruised to the easy win by 5.530 seconds over the field in a dominating performance.

Chris Roberts placed second, with Jonathan Lohe, Jeff Flaro, and Jeffrey Steward completing the top five. David Flick, Steward, and Lohe were heat winners for the 24-car field.

Merriman’s wins put him in a tie with Roberts atop the point standings with 261 markers. Ryan Scheidt is one point back with 260.

In DOB 305 B Series action at Williams Grove, Connor Lane out-dueled Tyler Henselman for the win in the 15-car field.

Jonathan Lohe led the first half of the event before giving way to Henselman on Lap 18. Lane never left the mix and took the top spot on Lap 22 before speeding away to the win.

Henselman settled for second, with Chris Roberts, Daltyn England, and Jesse Bandy completing the top five. Roberts continues to lead the point standings by 11 over Jesse Bandy.

Wrapping up Wednesday competition, Chance Ciskowski posted a clean sweep of the DOB 410 WL Series at Lernerville Speedway.

Ciskowski set quick time, won his heat race, and led every lap of the main event to claim his fourth with of the season.

Mike Keegan made it close at the end, pulling a slider through the final two corners. He fell short by .548 seconds. Jeffrey Steward, Seth Shebester, and Todd Brandt completed the top five.

Chiskowski leads the points with 781 markers. Mike Keegan is second with 684, and Mason Hannagan is third with 632 points.

THURSDAY

Kevin Hanley also performed a complete sweep, blasting his way to the win in the Wicked Energy Gum 410 Series.

Hanley started the night by setting a quick lap of 12.992. He won his heat race and overcame the wind and Billy Rowlee for his first DOB 410 victory.

There were two lead changes over the race distance. Anthony Jobe, Tyson Landis, and Mike Keegan completed the top five.

Jobe’s top-five run helped him keep the series point lead. Keegan is 20 points back, with Kyle Stoltz holding down third.
