Abbottstown, PA (June 21, 2025) – Troy Wagaman Jr. proved once again that he knows how to rise to the occasion on one of the biggest nights of the season at Lincoln Speedway. The Hanover, PA driver captured his second consecutive win in the prestigious Steve Smith Tribute Race, pocketing the $10,119 top prize in a thrilling 35-lap feature Saturday night.
Starting from the pole alongside Ryan Newton, Wagaman jumped to the early lead with Newton, Matt Campbell, and Aaron Bollinger close behind. Tyler Ross and Freddie Rahmer battled for fifth.
Lapped traffic became a factor by lap 7, and Wagaman showcased patience and precision navigating slower cars. Newton closed the gap and mounted a serious charge for the lead on lap 10, pulling a slider on Wagaman, but Wagaman beat him back to the line.
Campbell joined the fray up front, and by lap 12, the top three cars were separated by less than a second. Just as the battle began to boil, a caution on lap 15 for a Logan Rumsey spin reset the field.
Wagaman got a strong jump on the restart, while Campbell and Newton engaged in a wheel-to-wheel battle for second. Rahmer made his presence known shortly after, working his way into the top five and eventually slipping past Campbell for third on lap 19—only for Campbell to wrestle the spot right back a lap later.
A second caution on lap 20 for a slowing Talan Haas tightened the field again. Campbell made another bid for second, while Ross began his march toward the front, passing Rahmer for fourth and setting his sights on the podium.
The third and final caution of the night came on lap 24 when Freddie Rahmer spun on the backstretch in a hard-fought battle for fourth with Ross. On the restart, Wagaman continued to lead, but the race for second heated up dramatically.
Ross made a bold move to take second on lap 26, but Newton stayed glued to his tail tank, refusing to go away. Meanwhile, Cameron Smith and Campbell traded the fourth spot back and forth in a fierce exchange.
With lapped traffic returning in the final laps, Wagaman maintained a comfortable margin and crossed the line first to become the two-time and back-to-back winner of the Steve Smith Tribute Race. Tyler Ross finished second and Newton was third. Campbell and Smith completed the top five.
Wolf Wires the Field for $1,500 Victory in 358 Sprint Car Feature at Lincoln Speedway
Jayden Wolf led wire-to-wire to claim the $1,500 top prize in the 358 sprint car feature during a competitive Saturday night of racing action at Lincoln Speedway.
Wolf wasted no time taking command at the drop of the green, seizing the lead going into turn 1 while the battle for second quickly heated up between Matt Findley and Jude Siegel. Siegel secured the runner-up spot with Cody Fletcher making an early charge into third.
Behind the top three, Findley held strong in fourth as Ashley Cappetta and Eli Tuckey exchanged the fifth spot in the opening laps. Tuckey made a brief move into fifth, but Cappetta regained the position just as quickly.
Fletcher began to close the gap on Siegel, getting strong runs off turn 2, but Siegel remained consistent, especially on the opposite end of the track, to protect his position. The first caution came on lap 5 when Scott Fisher slowed off the pace, bunching the field back up.
Wolf led Siegel, Fletcher, Findley, and Cappetta to the restart, and while Fletcher looked poised to challenge Siegel, he couldn’t make a move stick. Behind them, Tyler Ulrich started to reel in Cappetta in the race for fifth.
The caution flew again on lap 14 after Jansen Strine spun directly in front of the leaders in turns 1 and 2, creating a tense moment for the frontrunners. On the restart, Fletcher dove to the inside of Siegel in turn 1 but came up just short in his bid for second.
Meanwhile, Cappetta battled hard to reclaim fifth from Ulrich but couldn’t complete the pass. As the laps wound down, Siegel began to close the distance on Wolf, trimming the gap with three laps remaining.
Despite the pressure, Wolf found another gear and pulled away over the final circuits, cruising to the checkered flag for a convincing win in the 358 sprint car division. Siegel crossed the line second and Fletcher was third. Findley finished fourth and Ulrich completed the top five.
