Inside Line Promotions – BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (Nov. 1, 2022) – The 2022 season comes to a close this week for Greg Wilson.
The Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics and DNC Hydraulics backed driver leads the Seeling Motorsports No. 97 to North Carolina for the World of Outlaws World Finals, which runs Wednesday through Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord.
The sprint car competition is Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
“We always enjoy heading to Charlotte,” Wilson said. “There will be a big group of the best racers in the country this weekend so it will take a strong performance to deliver a great result. Hopefully we can unload fast and be a contender.”
Wilson captured a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series win at the track in May 2016.
“It’s always helpful to head to a track where you’ve won at before,” he said. “It was the spring race we won and typically the track conditions are a little different in the fall. It really comes down to qualifying well and then going from there. If you don’t put yourself in a good position it’s nearly impossible to dig yourself out and be a contender.”
Wilson has enjoyed success at the World of Outlaws World Finals, highlighted by a fifth-place performance in 2018.
