CARLISLE, Pa. (June 27, 2022) – CJB Motorsports and Spencer Bayston welcomed new primary partner, TrueTimber Camo, in perfect fashion during their recent weekend of competition, not only capping Huset’s Speedway’s $100,000-to-win High Bank Nationals with a hard-charging performance on Saturday, driving ahead from 22nd to finish 14th, but commencing his four-day weekend in Brandon, South Dakota, with a victory on Wednesday, June 22. The $10,000 World of Outlaws triumph was his second Series win of the season, taking command over Kasey Kahne on lap 26 of 30.

Kahne and Bayston exchanged sliders on multiple occasions before Bayston ultimately capitalized.

“That was a hell of a battle,” Bayston bragged regarding his Wednesday night duel with Kahne. “We were actually scratching our heads a bit after the Dash, but Barry [Jackson] figured it out and dialed us in. I had to regroup for a minute after giving him the lead back and telling myself to just do what I knew was working. We’ve got a bit more to learn in traffic at this place, but overall we made some great progress.”

Although finishing 17th in Thursday’s $15,000-to-win High Bank Nationals opener, Bayston and CJB Motorsports regrouped rapidly and went on to finish fourth in Friday’s $20,000-to-win preliminary, climbing ahead from 11th to do so. Forced to duel with World of Outlaws championship rivals David Gravel and Carson Macedo, Bayston would eventually settle into fourth, pressuring Riley Goodno for third in the closing circuits.

“I just can’t say enough about this team right now,” Bayston continued. “Everyone does such a great job and I’m becoming more and more comfortable in the car. And to welcome TrueTimber with a win is pretty incredible. We have the potential to create a lot of noise over the next few months.”

Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with the Independence Day Spectacular doubleheader at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, on Friday and Saturday, July 1-2.
