Inside Line Promotions – BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (May 11, 2020) – Roger Crockett is seeking redemption this week when he returns to West Texas Raceway.
The oval in Lubbock, Texas, hosts the West Texas Crude Nationals on Tuesday and Wednesday. The doubleheader marks the first time since June 2018 that Crockett has competed at the track.
“I was there one time during ASCS Speedweek two years ago, but we had a damaged part,” he said. “I was there, but I wasn’t fast.
“I’m really looking forward to using the All Star format. I’m also excited to run against such a stout field of cars. I feel confident with how fast our car has been. It’s a great opportunity to see where we are sitting.”
Crockett has earned a trio of top-10 finishes in four races this season, but he hasn’t competed since March 8.
“It’s not a points race so there’s no stress,” he said. “If we get in a situation where we want to try something we can. It’s not going to be easy, but I’m aiming to try to run in the top five.”
