PETERSEN MEDIA- Continuing to pilot the Roth Motorsports No. 83 entry to close out the 2022 season, Tim Kaeding had a strong night at Kern County Raceway Park as he pocketed a fourth-place finish as he now turns his attention to this Saturday’s KWS/NARC finale in Stockton, CA.
“It has been fun running for the Roth family again this last month, and I am thankful Dennis and Teresa Roth have allowed me finish out the season for them,” Tim Kaeding said. “We had a really good car all night long, but after they reworked the track before our feature, it made passing really tough with everyone going the same speed.”
Making the trip south to Kern County Raceway Park, Kaeding kicked his night off by timing the Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/Toyota/TRD backed No. 83 in ninth quickest in qualifying time trials.
Racing to a heat race win over brother, Bud, Kaeding garnered a position in the Sunnyvalley Meats Trophy Dash to set the first three rows of the 30-lap feature event.
Finishing fourth in the Dash, TK rolled off of the starting grid from the outside of the second row on a surface that was freshly manicured prior to the field lining up for the series’ penultimate feature event of the 2022 season.
With the track staying extremely fast in over the course of the ‘A’, TK battled with the likes of Corey Day, Justin Sanders, and Cole Macedo as they jockeyed for position inside the Top-5 and up on the podium.
As the race progressed, passing proved to be tough with much of the field running the same speed on the fast racing surface.
Keeping his position in the Top-Five, TK capped his night off with a fourth place finish.
“The track was just starting to widen out before they worked it, and I am curious to how the night would have gone had they left it alone,” Kaeding said. “We were good, it was just really hard to make up ground.”
The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, Toyota, TRD, Jason, Tara, And Cole Roth Cattle Co., Roth Investments, Speedway Engines, Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Vahlco Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Smith Titanium for their support.
