PETERSEN MEDIA- Though disappointed in himself for how he got timed in on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway, Michael Faccinto rebounded well as he worked his way forward in Saturday night’s SCCT feature event and recorded a ninth-place finish during the Dave Bradway Jr Memorial.

“I really put us in an early hole with my two qualifying laps, and timed us in fifth fastest in our group,” Michael Faccinto said. “We were able to race our way out of our heat, and then put on a charge in the feature to salvage to night with a Top-10 at a race that means so much to this F&F Racing team.”

Timing the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Lucas Oil backed No. x1 in fifth fastest in his time trial group, Michael Faccinto would line up in the third row of his heat race.

On a very racy Placerville Speedway in heat race competition, Faccinto had his elbows up as he worked his way safely into the feature event. Finishing third, the Hanford, CA runner put the F&F Racing machine in the 13th starting position for the 35-lap Dave Bradway Jr Memorial feature event.

With the SCCT running its feature after the KWS 410ci feature, the field was greeted to a very slick surface with a monster cushion built up on both ends of the track.

The waiving of the green flag saw Faccinto slip back early as he fell all the way back to 14th as he navigated in thick traffic. Racing into 12th on the 11th circuit, Faccinto continued his pursuit towards the Top-10 as the 14th lap saw him take over the 11th position.

In hard fought action, Faccinto would get drop back to 12th during the midway portion of the race as racing action was two and three-wide all over the ¼ mile bullring.

Giving himself a little breathing room, Faccinto worked into 11th with six laps left in the race, and then cracked the Top-10 just before a yellow flag was needed. Taking advantage of a restart mishap, Faccinto settled into ninth where he went on to close his night out.

“After time trials, it was really a solid night up on the hill,” Michael Faccinto said. “Alan Bradway and the guys are really getting me more comfortable in their car, and I am really excited for the rest of the Summer.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Lucas Oil, Geico Local Office, Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Pacific Highway Rentals, PitStopUSA, FVP, CRV Carbon Solutions, American River Overhead Door, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.
